Wendron's 1st XI, captained by John Wearne, currently competes in Division 3 (West). The 2nd XI plays in Division 6 (West) and is captained by George Whitbread. Wendron CC enters mid-week cup competitions; the Mining Division Evening League and has an U-15 team, playing in the Duchy League. 1st XI LEAGUE SUCCESSES: Falmouth & District League - 1951, 1952, 1953, 1968 Cornwall Cricket League - Junior IV West 1974, Junior III West 1975, Junior II West 1979, Senior II West 1989, Division 3 West 1990, Cornwall 3 1990 ANDREW CUP WINNERS: 1951, 1953, 1976, 1995 (2nd XI) CORNWALL INDOOR SIX-A-SIDE CHAMPIONS 1992-93 Wendron CC also runs its own football teams! Playing as Wendron United FC, the 1st XI competes in the Jolly's Cornwall Combination League. There are four other senior sides and many youth teams. This popular annual event, now with a new name - the West Cornwall Motor Show - returns to our Underlane ground, at Carnkie, mid-way between Falmouth and Helston, on Sunday 1st July 2012. Star attraction at this year's show is the Joseph Peace Fire Stunt Spectacular. Also providing entertainment will be St. Stythians Band, The Cornish Wurzels, Zumba Sisterz and lots more.
